Many people are arguing that "should beepers be banned in school?" Some of them say no because beepers are not necessary in school, but others says yes for some practical reasons. For my self, I totally agree with the first one, beepers should be banned.

These days, everyone is concerned about school violence. Banning beepers can make school safer because I believe that beepers are associated with drug deals and gang activities, not only I believe that, many educators believe it too. If parents need to reach their children in an emergency, they can always call the school office. Also if parents don't speak English, they can find someone to translate for them and then the teachers can let students reach their parents immediately. Therefore, beepers are not necessary in school. Plus, students who get beeped during class will be distracted from learning. School may have bad reputation because in people's mind students who bring beepers to school are likely not going to learn.

School is a place for learning. If it's not safe, parents won't let their children go. As you can see, let their children go. As you can see, let students carry beeper to school has many negative affects. So why aren't beepers be banned in school?
