Plot -"Of Mice and Men" (by John Steinbeck)

George and Lennie are good friends. They were coming from the south of Soledad and going to work on a bunkhouse. George is small and quick, dark of face. Opposite from him Lennie is a huge man, shapeless of face. They grew up in the same town and travel around together. Lennie always gets trouble for George because he is like a big baby. Like their last job in the Weed, Lennie just wants to feel the red dress a girl wears so he touches it and then the girl yells out. So they run out of the Weed. Otherwise they will get caught by the people in the Weed and get punished. Lennie always likes to feel something by his hand that's why he makes them get into troubles a lot.

Now, this time they get a job in the bunkhouse for picking barley. George has to keep reminding Lennie don't get into any trouble and if he did, they are not going to tend the rabbits. Because Lennie likes rabbits very much, he is going to remember that. They have a dream that they are going to have a little land and have some cows, rabbits, chicken, etc. But Lennie acts like a kid. So he broke his promise and gets into trouble again. Which is he touches Curley’s wife’s hair because it’s soft and he doesn’t want to let go and by accident he killed her. So he went to hide in the place that George told him to when he gets into the trouble and hide until he comes. Curley was very angry with Lennie killing his wife, and he hated big guys. So he wants to kill Lennie. At the end of the story when George finds Lennie at the place, he told Lennie their dream again and killed him. I think George kills Lennie because he doesn’t want Lennie be scared and want him to keep the dream.
